Part-time Street Department Position

The City of Seymour, Texas has a part-time job opening in the Street Department. This position requires the ability to safely operate a variety of equipment and any other duties as needed. During emergencies, this job may require working during non-traditional hours and or during severe weather conditions. High School graduate or GED and a Texas Class ‘C’ Driver’s license is required. Mechanic

The City of Seymour, Texas has a job opening for a Mechanic. This is a forty hour a week position with benefits. This position requires the ability to troubleshoot and repair a variety of mechanical and hydraulically operated equipment used by various city departments. Applicant must also be capable of troubleshooting and repairing associated electrical systems. This job may require working during non-traditional hours and during severe weather conditions. High School Graduate or GED and a Texas Class ‘C’ Driver’s license is required along with any applicable training certificates. Lifeguard

The City of Seymour, Texas is taking applications for lifeguards this summer for the City Park Pool. Lifeguards must attend training from Red Cross and pass both lifeguard test and CPR certification. Must be responsible and be able to work with children. Must work the whole pool season, hours include evenings, weekends and holidays.  The City of Seymour is an EEO employer and a drug-free workplace. A pre-employment drug screening is required. Assistant Pool Manager

The City of Seymour, Texas, is taking applications for a Pool Manager Assistant this summer.   Assistant Manager must be able to work long pool hours, including evenings, weekends and holidays. He/She must also work with lifeguards and make sure the pool is a safe environment for the children.   The City of Seymour is an EEO employer and a drug-free workplace. BID NOTICE

The City of Seymour is accepting sealed bids for a qualified Certified Public Accounting firm to perform annual City Financial Audits for the City of Seymour, Texas. The Accounting firm must present audit results to the Seymour City Council on an annual basis. Sealed bids must be marked City Financial Auditor 2019. Sealed bids will be turned in to City Hall, P.O. Box 31, 301 North Washington St. Seymour, TX no later than June 7, 2019 by 3:30 p.m. Sealed bids will be read aloud at this time and will be considered during the Regularly Called City Council Meeting at 7:00 p.m. on June 20, 2019, at 800 E. Morris St., Portwood Arts and Civic Center in Seymour, Texas. Faxed or emailed bids will not be accepted. The City of Seymour reserves the right to accept or reject any and all bids.
