Lifeguard

The City of Seymour, Texas is taking applications for lifeguards this summer for the City Park Pool. Lifeguards must attend training from Red Cross and pass both lifeguard test and CPR certification. Must be responsible and be able to work with children. Must work the whole pool season, hours include evenings, weekends and holidays.  The City of Seymour is an EEO employer and a drug-free workplace. A pre-employment drug screening is required. Assistant Pool Manager

The City of Seymour, Texas, is taking applications for a Pool Manager Assistant this summer.   Assistant Manager must be able to work long pool hours, including evenings, weekends and holidays. He/She must also work with lifeguards and make sure the pool is a safe environment for the children.   The City of Seymour is an EEO employer and a drug-free workplace. Water Technician/Wastewater Treatment Operator

The City of Seymour, Texas has a job opening for a full-time Water Technician/Wastewater Treatment Operator. An application may be picked up at City Hall, 301 N. Washington Street. A Texas Class “C” driver’s license is mandatory. Applicants must have a High School or a GED.

Water and Wastewater Certificate must be obtained while working for the City of Seymour. Reverse Osmosis Water Production Technician

The City of Seymour, Texas has a job opening in the Reverse Osmosis Water Production Department. This is a minimum of forty hours per week position with benefits. This position requires the ability to safely operate equipment to maintain the area surrounding the Reverse Osmosis facility. Employee will also take water samples, complete necessary documentation, read and calibrate meters, perform system component maintenance and troubleshooting, safely handle hazardous chemicals, perform duties while on call, read water and electrical meters monthly and all other duties as required by the Reverse Osmosis facility supervisor. Requirements are: Basic math and computer skills, High School Graduate or GED, a Texas Class ‘C’ Driver’s license and must have the ability to lift 50 pounds. Prior experience is not mandatory, however the employee must be able to attend classes and pass tests as required to obtain state issued licenses. Pre-employment drug screening is also required. Bid Notice – Contract Janitorial Services at Portwood Pavilion

The City of Seymour is accepting sealed bids for Contract Janitorial Services, for the Portwood Art & Civic Center at 800 E. Morris Street. A list of janitorial responsibilities will be provided at the City Secretary Office.

Faxed bids will not be accepted.

Bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope clearly marked “PORTWOOD PAVILION”. Please add your name, address, phone number and the amount you are placing on your bid information. Bids will be accepted until 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 2, 2019, at which time bids will be opened and read aloud.

Bids will be considered by City Council for award at the Regular City Council Meeting on May 16, 2019. This contract will be for a one year contract, with a possible one year renewal to follow. The City reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids.

Deadline to submit an application is Friday, April 12, 2019.
