Enforce the laws and ordinances set forth by the State of Texas and City of Seymour. Clean and maintain the animal impound location. Provide care for animals in our custody and control. Pick up deceased animals and dispose of them according to city requirements. Look out for and address any animal violations or concerns. Duties include assisting Code Enforcement and any other duties assigned.

Position requires a High School Diploma or GED and must have a Basic Police Academy Certification or be able to obtain a Texas Department of State Health Services Basic Animal Control Training & Certification. Must possess a basic proficiency certificate from and be in good standing with the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement, or possess or be able to obtain a Basic Animal Control Certification.
