Texas Independence & Heritage Day Celebration – March
Seymour celebrates Texas Independence Day and its’ heritage on the third Saturday in March annually. 2017 will be the Chamber’s 5th year to host this fun, family event. People dress up in clothes depicting the late 1800s and wonder the awesome brick streets. Everyone enjoys the day spent eating from the Dutch oven cookers and chuck wagon, touring historical sites of the town on a horse drawn wagon, drinking root beer, eating hard candies, and watching gun slinging re-inactors, colorful Square Dancers, Czech Dancers, and Kiowa Indian Dancers. It is a great day of activities and fellowship for all.
