PUBLIC NOTICE OF OPEN MEETING
Regular City Council Meeting on Thursday, August, 24, 2017, at 7:00 p.m., at the Portwood Arts and Civic Center, 800 E. Morris, Seymour, Texas, 76380. All notices have been duly posted in accordance and conformance with the Gov. Code of the State of Texas, Section 551.002 (c ).
The City of Seymour attempts to make its meetings accessible to all of its citizens. If you have need of auxiliary aids, please notify the ADA Coordinator at 889-3148, at least 48 hours in advance.
Call to Order, Roll Call and Pledge of Allegiance by Mayor Josh Sosolik
Proclamations: Stroll & Roll and Law Enforcement Proclamations for 2017.
Announcements from the Mayor: (At this time, Mayor Sosolik will make announcements as related to the events of the previous weeks. As always he may make any rearrangements to the order of items on this agenda as he deems prudent in the interest of time).
Citizen’s questions/and or Comments: (At this time, interested citizens are encouraged to indicate their interest in speaking, and upon being recognized by the Mayor, approach the podium to express your comments. Please speak clearly and speak directly into the microphone. Citizens may speak on any matter other than personnel matters or matters under litigation, for a length of time not to exceed five minutes. Neither Council action nor discussion may take place on any matter, until such matter has been placed on an agenda and posted in accordance with law.)

- CONSIDER APPROVING THE CONSENT AGENDA AS FOLLOWS:
a.) Approve Regular Meeting Minutes from Thursday, July 20, 2017 and Special Called Meeting/Budget Workshop Meeting Minutes from July 27, 2017, August 8, 2017, and August 14, 2017.
b.) Accept REPORTS:
- Monthly Investment Report
- First Bank & Trust Bank accounts summary report
- Employee/Contract List and Golf Course Membership Total Report 4. Administration and Supervisors and Written Reports

Regular meeting closes and Public Hearing will begin
- A Public Hearing regarding the amendment to the Agricultural use of property inside the
city limits of Seymour to require a Specific Use Permit for Agriculture and Ranch use in R 1 and
Public Hearing closes and Regular meeting resumes
- Discuss, consider and approve Ordinance 2017-06 , an Ordinance amending the Specific
Use Permit for Agriculture and Ranch use in R1 and R2.
- Discuss, consider and take action regarding request from Bobby Moore, President of
The Top of Texas Seymour Pee Wee Football team by providing electric service during
the home games beginning August 2017 through November 2017.
- Discuss, consider and take action to approve City of Seymour bills paid for the
month of July, 2017.
- Discuss, consider and review the City of Seymour Water Well Report.
Regular meeting closes and Executive Session begins
- An Executive Session (closed to the public) and pursuant to Chapter 551 of the Texas Local
Government Code under § 551.072; Real Property; Discussion regarding described property
of the City of Seymour, located on the north and west side of tennis courts.
Executive Session closes and Regular meeting resumes
- Discuss and take action regarding deliberations from Executive Session.

Executive Session upon any of the items listed in this agenda.
