Project: Procurement of New Skid Steer
General Requirements
The City of Seymour is accepting sealed bids for the purchase of a new skid steer. All bids must meet the following minimum specifications.
Equipment Specifications
The skid steer must not include a Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) system. It must carry a minimum warranty of three years or 3,000 operating hours, whichever comes first. The unit must also be equipped with a high‑flow hydraulic system suitable for operating heavy‑duty attachments. Equipment must be new, factory‑built, and designed for long‑term municipal service.
Contractor Responsibilities
The successful bidder must provide proof of insurance and bonding, deliver the equipment fully assembled and tested, and supply operator’s manuals, service manuals, and training for city staff. All required documentation and warranty registration must be completed at delivery.
Bid Submission Requirements
Proposals must include an itemized cost estimate covering equipment, delivery, and warranty coverage. Detailed specifications of the proposed skid steer model and documentation of warranty terms must be provided, along with references from at least three similar municipal or commercial equipment deliveries.
Submission Instructions
- Deadline: All bids must be received no later than December 17th, 2025 at 4:30 PM
- Location: City Hall, 301 N. Washington Street, Seymour, Texas 76380.
- Format: Bids must be sealed and clearly marked “Skid Steer Bid” on the envelope.
- Late Submissions: Any bids received after the deadline will not be considered.
- Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at the deadline.
Evaluation Criteria
Bids will be evaluated based on compliance with specifications, cost competitiveness, warranty coverage, contractor experience, and delivery schedule.
