MEETING MINUTES
A Regular City Council Meeting, was held on Thursday, April 18, 2024, at 7:00 p.m., at the Portwood Art & Civic Center, 800 E. Morris Street, Seymour, Texas 76380. All notices were duly posted in accordance and conformance with the Government Code of the State of Texas, Section 551.072 (c.)
In attendance: Monty Glass, Skyler Henricks, Jeff Brasher, Mark McCord, Lan Winn, Billy Henricks, Debbie Gillispie, Lauren Bush, Kimberly Hill, Kim Stevenson, Melissa Conner, Stormy Wyatt, Kyle Barton, Justin Daniel

- City Administrator Dr. Jeff Brasher recognizes Kyle Barton for efforts with the Seymour Youth Baseball Association

Seymour Helping Hands Accessibility Park was presented by Kim Stevensons. This was an introductory action for proposed handicap accessibility additions to the Seymour Memorial Park.

- This public hearing is in regard to a SPECIFIC USE PERMIT, ZONING change of 600 N Odom, also known as Lot 5-6, Blk 6, Subd Wheat & Lot 1-4, Block 6, Subd Wheat, in Seymour Texas. Specific Use Permit would allow for the construction of a RV Park.

Motion to approve Consent Agenda, Items #2 thru #4 was made by Skyler Henricks and seconded by Lan Winn. Vote 5-0, Motion Passed.
Motion to TABLE item #5 from the consent agenda was made by Monty Glass and seconded by Billy Henricks. Vote 5-0, Motion Passes
- Discuss, Consider, and Take Action closing the alley to thru traffic directly behind the Seymour Volunteer Fire Department
Motion was made to close the alley behind the fire department to “Thru Traffic” and allow for a gate to be possibly erected was made by Debbie Gillispie and seconded by Monty Glass. Vote 5-0, Motion passed.
- Discuss, Consider, and Take Action on accepting bids on the Fan Building
No bids Received, No Action Taken
- Discuss, Consider, and Take Action on accepting bids for Golf Cart Contract at the Salt Fork Recreational Complex
Motion to table Item #8 made by Monty Glass and seconded by Billy Henricks. Vote 5-0, Motion Passed.
- Discuss, Consider, and Take Action on Ordinance2023-08 concerning the Salt Fork Recreational Complex
Motion to accept ordinance 2023-08 as presented with changes made by Billy Henricks and seconded by Skyler Henricks. Vote 5-0, Motion Passed.
- Discuss, Consider, and Take Action on a SPECIFIC USE PERMIT, ZONING change of 600 N Odom
Motion to approve Specific Use Permit was made by Monty Glass and seconded by Lan Winn. Vote 5-0, Motion Passed.
