Ground Storage Tank Repairs
The City of Seymour will be accepting bids to clean and re-coat the interiors of two ground storage tanks used to store potable drinking water at the reverse osmosis water treatment plant.
This project will have an estimated start date of November 1, 2021 and consist of the following:
Power washing the interior surfaces of each storage tank utilizing a cleaning chemical such as Floran. Sand blasting any rusted areas or components and re-coating the interior of the tank with multiple layers of an epoxy based coating.
These storage tanks have a height of 25 ft. One tank has a diameter of 59ft while the other tank measures 38ft in diameter. Both tanks can not be kept out of service at the same time so each tank will need to be completed on two different occasions.
All repairs and chemicals used in this project must be approved for use in drinking water applications and must be certified by the National Sanitation Foundation.
For any questions related to this project, to schedule an on-site visit, or to request a copy of the latest inspection report please call 940-889-0040.
