The library boasts over 25,000 items in their collection of books, DVDs, magazines, reference titles, books on tape, e-books and CDs. Almost 10,000 visitors entered the library last year to utilize print and electronic reference resources, access the Internet, participate in computer and Internet training, view a Library exhibit or attend one of the Library’s many events. Cruise the “Open Road” FM 1919

The “Open Road” FM 1919 has miles and miles of true terrain free of electric poles and with only a few side roads. It’s a beautiful drive day or night. Wildlife is abundant in this area so please pay close attention to possible animal hazards. Keep down this road towards Crowell and you will Find Copper Breaks State Park!

2 fields with individual score boards, 2 sets stadium seats for each field, concession stand, speaker equipment (for league use), & ample parking. Contact the City of Seymour at 940-889-3148 to rent the field. Open use for friendly recreational play allowed.

Salt Fork Recreational Complex

Seymour also has an excellent municipal owned nine-hole golf course located 2 miles south from downtown on Highway 187/287 toward Throckmorton. The Salt Fork also has a tennis court. Meeting rooms and a kitchen area are also available for rent. Cart rentals and a Golf Pro Shop is located in the club house. Fishing is also available to the public.

Seymour City Pool & Splash Pad

Seymour boasts the largest pool in the area. It’s Olympic size entertains many every year. There are different roped off depths, a diving board, and two slides. **2019 New slide pictured above** The pool opens exclusively in the morning for senior citizens. There is a club house with showers, bathrooms,and a concession stand.

Another new edition to our park area in 2013 is the Seymour Splash Pad equipped with spray jets of various kinds and a double dump bucket. This is also available for rent during the summer months. In 2019, Astroturf was add to the splash pad to better protect all the little toes!

Seymour Disc Golf Course

Established in 1999, this 18 hole course is moderately hilly and wooded. Course length is 4414 ft with concrete tees and DISCatcher baskets. Hole Length: Under 300ft: 15 | 300 – 400ft: 3 | Over 400ft. Printable course maps and score cards coming soon!

One online reviewer said, ” Short but very enjoyable course in this small NW Texas town. Half the course is hilly and open; half is flat and tight. Very pretty park with some large trees and a nice creek.”
