Contract Lights & Temporary Services
Contract Lights are street lights that can be placed on your personal property in an approved location. You do not have to have full services with the City of Seymour to request a contract light, but you do have to agree to a YEAR’s worth of service at about $17 per month. More than one light can be requested on the property.
Temporary service can be requested by calling City Hall at 940-889-3148. A representative from the Light Department will assess the need for service and then, if deemed necessary, temporary service can be turned on. Temporary service requires all the regular deposits and information. You will need to have a valid Driver’s License or ID and pay the $200 deposit fee and $25 connect fee.
