Public Hearing for City of Seymour – 2¢ Rate Increase

The City of Seymour will hold a Public Hearing at 7:00 p.m., on Thursday, April 23, 2020, at City Hall Auditorium, 301 N. Washington Street, in Seymour, Texas 76380.    

This public hearing is in regards to consider raising the electric rate back up by 2cents, or leaving as is, provided by the City of Seymour.   

Citizens are encouraged to attend to discuss this rate change.  Written comments may also be submitted to the City Secretary, P.O. Box 31, Seymour, Texas 76380.  Persons with disabilities or others requiring auxiliary aids or services to participate in this hearing should make arrangements with City Secretary Conchita Torrez, at 940-889-3148 at least two days before the hearing.

Public Hearing for City of Seymour LED Lights

The City of Seymour will hold a Final Public Hearing at 7:00 p.m., on April 23, 2020, at City Hall Auditorium,   301 N. Washington Street, in Seymour, Texas.   

This public hearing is in regards to the re-placement of a Solar LED Yellow Flashing Beacon Light, to be placed and located on Pecan and Cedar Street. One flashing light already exists on McLain and Cedar Street and will remain as is.

Public Hearing for City of Seymour – Street Closures

The City of Seymour will hold a Final Public Hearing at 7:00 p.m., on April 23, 2020, at City Hall Auditorium, 301 N. Washington Street, in Seymour, Texas, 76380.  This public hearing is in regards to a request from Jeff Groves, doing business for Gregg Miller, to close streets on Bantau, Clements and Oregon Street.

This is a description of an 11.6 acre tract including interior unopened streets: all of Blocks 30, 31, 32, 33, 34, and 35, McLain Addition to the City of Seymour, Baylor County, Texas; except;

all of Block 30 lying west of the thread of Seymour Creek;

all of Block 32 lying east of the alley, and the northwest quarter

with the east half of adjoining Clements Street;

the south 100 feet of Block 33;

the south 100 feet of the east 150 feet of Block 34;

the south 100 feet of the west 75 feet of Block 35.
