CITY OF SEYMOUR CITY COUNCIL

MEETING MINUTES

APRIL 23, 2019

 

A Special Called Meeting of City Council was held on Tuesday, April 23, 2019 at 6:00 p.m., at Salt Fork River Estates Complex, 728 US Hwy, 283 S., Seymour, Texas, 76380.

 

Call to Order, Roll Call and Pledge of Allegiance by Mayor Pro-Tem Jon Hrncirik at 6:03 p.m.

 

Council present: Mayor Pro-Tem Jon Hrncirik, Council member Monty Glass, Lan Winn, Paula K. Vaden and Mary K. Fair.

 

City Staff present: City Administrator Steve Biedermann, City Secretary Conchita Torrez, ED Director Lauren Bush, SFREC Supervisor Todd Hrncirik and SFREC Employee Charlie Orsak.

 

Guest:  No guest(s) were present at this meeting.

 

  1. Discuss, consider and take action regarding the Salt Fork River Estates Complex, rules and guidelines.

 

The City of Seymour has been very busy upgrading the SFREC by adding an awning and a pool to the facility.

A lengthy discussion was had by Council members and City Staff regarding the prices and times to use as guidelines for rental use by citizen’s.

 

Motion made by Councilmember Monty Glass, second by Councilmember Lan Winn, to approve the updated prices and guidelines for the SFREC  and allow Supervisor Todd Hrncirik, to hire part-time help.

Motion passes unanimously.

 

  1. Discuss, consider and give direction to City Administrator regarding Dual Utility Zone.

 

After a lengthy discussion regarding this agenda item, a motion was entertained.

Motion made by Councilmember Monty Glass, second by Councilmember Lan Winn, to allow City Administrator Steve Biedermann to move forward and contact attorney’s.  Motion passed unanimously.

 

  1. Adjournment made by Councilmember Lan Winn, second by Councilmember Monty Glass to close meeting at 9:28 p.m. Motion passes unanimously.
