Request for Proposals (RFP) City of Seymour FUTURE Brush Mulching Project

The City of Seymour is seeking proposals for the DAILY/WEEKLY/MONTHLY management of brush pile as it is collected, located at the City’s Transfer Station, 1087 FM 1286, Seymour, TX 76380. Qualified contractors are invited to submit their bids for this project, in accordance with the following details:

Scope of Work

The project involves:

  1. Mulching the entire brush pile at the specified location OR burning the brush at an alternate location
  2. Ensuring proper equipment and techniques are utilized to complete the work efficiently and safely.
  3. Adhering to all applicable environmental and safety standards.

Proposal Requirements

All submitted proposals must include:

  1. Contractor’s name, contact information, and credentials.
  2. Detailed description of services, including equipment to be used.
  3. Estimated cost breakdown for the project.
  4. Project timeline for completion.
  5. Proof of insurance and compliance with safety regulations.

Submission Details

All bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope addressed to: Dr. Jeffrey Brasher City of Seymour P.O. Box 31 Seymour, TX 76380

Alternatively, bids may be hand-delivered to 301 North Washington Street Seymour, TX 76380

Deadline

Proposals must be received no later than the specified deadline May 13th, 2025 at 2:00 PM.  Late submissions will not be considered.

Evaluation Criteria

Proposals will be reviewed based on:

  • Cost and budget alignment.
  • Qualifications and experience of the contractor.
  • Proposed timeline and efficiency of work.

The City of Seymour reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to award the project in the best interest of the city.
