REGULAR CALLED MEETING
A Regular City Council Meeting will be held on Thursday, February 16, 2023 at 7:00 P.M. at the Portwood Art & Civic Center, 800 E. Morris Street, Seymour, TX 76380. All notices have been duly posted in accordance and conformance with the Government Code of the State of Texas, Section 551.002(c). The City of Seymour attempts to make its meetings accessible to all citizens. If you have need of auxiliary aid, please notify the ADA Coordinator at 889-3148, at least 48 hours in advance. 8. Public Hearing(s)
(A) Final Public Hearing regrading ordinance pertaining to Hotel/Motel Tax Funds.
(B) Final Public Hearing regarding ordinance pertaining to Distributed Generation, avoided Cost of Generation Rate being added to Section 11.803, Power Cost Adjustment Factor.
9. Action Items
(A) Discuss, consider, and take action to approve Ordinance No. 2023-01, regarding Hotel/Motel Tax Funds.
(B) Discuss, consider, and take action to approve Ordinance No. 2023-02, the Distributed Generation Cost Rate, and adding Section 11.803, Power Cost Adjustment Factor.
(C) Discuss and approve the General and Special Order of Elections, for the City of Seymour, 2023.
(D) Discuss, consider, and take action to approve Resolution No. 1541, filing a 2023 grant with Nortex for a Solid Waste.
(E) Discuss, consider, and take action to approve Resolution No. 1542, Authorizing Seymour Representatives in matters pertaining to the city’s participation on the Tx Community Development Block Grant Program.
(F) Discuss, consider, and take action to approve Resolution No. 1543, Authorizing the submission of a 2023/2024, Tx Community Development Block Grant Application to the Tx Dept. of Agriculture for the Community Development Fund.
(G) Discuss, consider, and adopt a Citizen Participation Plan for the City of Seymour.
(H) Discuss, consider, and take action regarding bids received for the “Baseball Back Stop”
10. Consent Agenda
(A) Approve Regular City Council meeting minutes for January 19, 2023, and Special Called meeting minutes on January 31, 2023.
(B) Discuss, consider, and take action regarding City of Seymour Bills paid the month of January 2023.
(C) Financial Report by Mary Griffin
(D) Approve Resolution No. 1539 appointing Election Judges and Clerks for the May 6, 2023, City of Seymour General and Special Elections.
(E) Discuss, consider, and take action to revoke Specific Use Permit from Leslie Caisse, regarding property at 400 S. Foley Street, due to RV removed from property.
(F) Discuss, consider, and approve the annual Seymour Volunteer Fire Department Financials.
(G) Discuss, consider, and approve the annual request from Sabrina Eltartour, Representative for American Red Cross, approving the use of the Portwood Pavilion as a disaster shelter site.
