Seymour City Council

July 15, 2019


A Special Called Meeting was held at 6:00 p.m., Monday, July 15, 2019, at the Portwood Arts and Civic Center, 800 E. Morris Street, Seymour, Texas 76380.      


Call to Order, Roll Call and Pledge of Allegiance by Mayor Jon Hrncirik at 6:00 p.m.   


Council Present:    Mayor Jon Hrncirik, Council Member Lan Winn, Council Member Mary K. Fair, Council Member Brian Broome, Council Member Monty Glass and Council Member Paula Vaden


Council Absent:  None

Staff Present:   City Administrator, Steve Biedermann, Recording Secretary, Suzanne Shumate, Electric Supervisor, Jay Barrington, ED Director, Lauren Bush, Utility Billing Supervisor, Nita Hons and Utility Billing Clerk, Ericka Sturgeon

Guest:  Michelle Campos, Kim Stevenson, Craig McLarty, Kathy Birkenfeld, Mindy Dodd, Daniel Huskamp, Devon Nader, Mike Hosea, Catherine Hosea, John E.   1. Discuss, consider and take action to approve the City Council Code of Conduct.

  1. Discuss, consider and take action regarding the finalization of Shooting Range fees.


Brian Broome made a motion for the following shooting range fees:

$120 single year membership

$20 per month

$10 per day

Combo package with a salt fork membership for an additional $10 per month

Motion was seconded by Monty Glass, motion carried


  1. Discuss, consider and take action regarding tree trimming bid received from LCRA, at a cost of $79,786.56.


No action was taken on this item




  1. Discuss, consider and take action regarding FundView software.


Paula Vaden made a motion to approve the FundView software, seconded by Mary K. Fair, motion carried.




Second and final public hearing regarding Electric rates

  1. The second and final Public hearing of the City of Seymour, regarding Electric rates, provided by the City of Seymour.


Citizens made comments and or asked questions regarding the Electric rates

A motion was made by Lan Winn at 7:05 p.m. to adjourn, seconded by Brian Broome, motion carried.
