March 18, 2021 – Notice of a 1st PUBLIC HEARING concerning a specific use permit request to allow a CONTRACTOR’S YARD in an R-1

The Seymour City Council will hold a public hearing at 7p.m. on March 18, 2021 at 800 E Morris St, Portwood Pavilion in Seymour Texas 76380.  This public hearing is in regards to an application for a Specific Use Permit concerning Lots 3-4, 3 S and D Subdivision of Seymour comprised of 0.636 acres, located at 1100 N Foley Street in Seymour Texas.

Info:  The applicant is requesting that the parking lot be zoned for commercial use as a contractors’ storage yard and the building remain zoned for residential use, for the contractor’s employees.  There will be no modifications to the lot or the building.  This request is intended to extend for the remainder of 2021.

Citizens are encouraged to attend to discuss the Zoning  request.  Written comments may also be submitted to the Planning & Zoning Administrator at P.O. Box 31, Seymour, Texas 76380.  Persons with disabilities or others requiring auxiliary aids or services to participate in this hearing should make arrangements with the city secretary at 940-889-3148 at least two days before the hearing.
