SPECIAL CALLED MEETING MINUTES
TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 20, 2018
A Special Called Meeting of Seymour City Council was held on Tuesday, November 20, 2018, at 6:00 p.m., 301 N. Washington Street, City Hall, Conference Room, Seymour, Texas 76380.
Call to Order, Pledge of Allegiance and Roll Call was led by MPT Jon Hrncirik at 6:00 p.m.
Council present: MPT Jon Hrncirik, Council members Les Hons, Paula K. Vaden, Mary K. Fair and Monty Glass.
City Staff present: City Administrator Steve Biedermann and City Secretary Conchita Torrez.
Guests: Chris Jakubicek and Jeff Groves
- Discuss, consider and take action regarding request from Gil Gray, to approve
an easement at 710 N. Donald Street, from the City of Seymour, by allowing the encroachment to remain on property.
A perpetual easement was requested by Gil Gray, for property located at 710 N. Donald Street. This property was built back in the early 60’s and the chimney and garage encroached out and needed approval to remain as is.
Motion made by Council member Les Hons, second by Council member Monty Glass, to allow the property to remain as is. Motion passed unanimously.
- Discuss, consider and approve Resolution No. 1475, authorizing the award of professional service provider contracts for the 2019-2020, Texas Community Development Block Grant Project.
City Administrator Steve Biedermann stated that this grant would be similar to the sewer project that the City had completed earlier in the year. He would like to use this grant for water lines and such. The grant money available would be $275,000 with the City matching funds in the amount of $27,500. 00.
Motion made by Council member Monty Glass, second by Council member Les Hons, to approve this grant project and award it to GrantWorks, a professional service provider. Motion passed unanimously.
