                    Ordinance No. 2020-06

AN ORDINANCE DECLARING THAT KILE STREET BE CLOSED AND ABANDONED.

BE IT REMEMBERED, that on this the 18th day of June 2020, at the Regular Meeting of the City Council of Seymour, Texas, and with the following members present, to-wit:

Mayor Jon Hrncirik, Council members: Lan Winn, Mary K. Fair, Brian Broome, Brenda Miller, and MPT Monty Glass.   

a quorum being present, the following business being transacted, to wit:

Motion was made by Council member MPT Monty Glass

Seconded by Council member Mary K. Fair

that the request of Rodney Janes, to close Kile Street, as described in Exhibit “A”, be approved, and granted as fully set forth in said petition now on file and before the City Council.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEYMOUR, TEXAS THAT:

Rodney Janes is the sole owner of the property described as: See Attached Exhibit “A”

In the City of Seymour, Baylor County, Texas, and whereas the applicant owns all of the property above described and since that portion of this street and alley are not open to vehicle traffic and have never been open and maintained for public utility easements.

The City of Seymour does request a ROW Easement in the event Utility Access is needed.

 THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Seymour, Texas, does forever close and abandon this portion of the property described in Exhibit “A”. It is further ordered that a copy of this order closing part of said street and alley be filed of record in the County Clerk’s office of Baylor County, Texas.  This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its adoption.
