Public Hearing Concerning Shingles at Transfer Station

PUBLIC HEARING
CITY OF SEYMOUR
The City of Seymour will hold a Public Hearing at 7:00 p.m., on Thursday, August 25, 2022, at 800 E. Morris Street, Portwood Pavilion, in Seymour, Texas, during the Regular City Council Meeting. This public hearing is in regard to the current ordinance regarding transfer station rates; creating shingle section with fee amount, amending existing Ordinance No. 2022-03.
Citizens are encouraged to attend and discuss this resolution. Written comments may also be submitted to the City Secretary, P.O. Box 31, Seymour, Texas 76380. Persons with disabilities or others requiring auxiliary aids or services to participate in this hearing should make arrangements with City Secretary Conchita Torrez, at 940-889-3148 at least two days before the hearing.
Proposed Addition to Ordinance
The following fee is being proposed at the August 25, 2022,
Re-Scheduled City Council Meeting, Portwood Art & Civic Center, 800 E. Morris Street.
The following information will be discussed.
Current Fee for Shingles being disposed of at the Seymour Transfer Station are $50.00 per ton, which also requires a an empty weight ticket, and a loaded weight ticket.
Proposed Fee for Shingles being disposed of at the Seymour Transfer Station will change to $80 per ton, and will require an empty weight ticket, and a loaded weight ticket.
