PUBLIC HEARINGS

CITY OF SEYMOUR

The City of Seymour will hold multiple public hearings at 7:00 p.m., on September 18, 2025, at 301 N Washington, Seymour City Hall, in Seymour, Texas, 76380.

Public Hearing:

  1. Resolution 1591, a resolution of the City Council of the City of Seymour amending resolution #1574, the operating budget of the City of Seymour for fiscal year 2024-2025, adding additional funding to line items as listed by transferring funds from line items as listed in detail

  2. Resolution 1592, a resolution approving and adopting a budget for the City of Seymour for the fiscal year beginning October 1, 2025, and ending September 30, 2026, in the form of a roll call ‘voice vote’ of the budget resolution.

  3. Ordinance 2025-11, an ordinance of the City of Seymour, Texas levying ad valorem taxes for tax year 2025, at $0.41175 per $100 dollar valuation for property within the corporate limits representing a levy of 0.41175/$100 for operations and maintenance, providing due and delinquent dates; penalties and interest; recording the roll call vote of council and providing an effective date.

Citizens are encouraged to attend to discuss the Zoning request.  Written comments may also be submitted to the City Secretary, P.O. Box 31, Seymour, Texas 76380.  Persons with disabilities or others requiring auxiliary aids or services to participate in this hearing should make arrangements with City Secretary Lauren Bush, at 940-889-3148 at least two days before the hearing.
