RESOLUTION AND ORDER DECLARING RESULTS
OF CITY ELECTION ON MAY 6, 2023

THE STATE OF TEXAS }
CITY OF SEYMOUR }

        On this the     12th     day of        May      , 2023, the City Council of the City of 

Seymour, Texas, convened in Regular Session open to the public at 301 N. Washington Street, City Hall, Conference Room, 2nd Floor.

         Council Member _____________________, introduced a resolution and order and moved its adoption. A second was made by ___________________,  and the motion carried with it the adoption of the resolution and order prevailed by the following vote:

There came to be considered the returns of said election held on the 6th day of May , 2023, for the purpose of electing the hereinafter named officials, and that each of the candidates in said election received the following votes:

THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEYMOUR, TEXAS:

That said election was duly called; that the notice of said election was given in accordance with law, and that said election was held in accordance with law and the following above parties are hereby declared duly elected to said respected offices, subject to the taking of their oaths as provided by the laws of the State of Texas.

Mayoral Position:__________, for a two-year term

Council Pace #2:___________, for a two-year term

Council Place #3:DEBBIE GILLISPIE (unopposed) for a one -year term

Council Place #4:MONTY GLASS for a two-year term (unopposed)

Council Place #5:BILLY HENRICKS (unopposed) for a one -year term

It is further found and determined that in accordance with the order of this governing body the Secretary posted written notice of the date, place and subject of this meeting on the bulletin board located in the City Hall, a place convenient and readily accessible to the general public, and said notice having been posted and remaining posted continuously for at least 72 hours preceding the scheduled time of said meeting. A copy of the return of said posting shall be attached to the minutes of this meeting shall be made a part thereof for all intents and purposes.
