RESOLUTION  NO. 1571

A RESOLUTION DESIGNATING THE WHITECENTER FOR THE PERFORMING ARTS, ALSO KNOWN AS CITY HALL AUDITORIUM, AS THE OFFICIAL MEETING PLACE OF THE SEYMOUR CITY COUNCIL.

WREREAS, the City of Seymour is a Type A General Law municipality, and is subject to the laws of the State of Texas as they apply to such municipalities.

WHEREAS, Section 22.038(a) of the Texas Local Government Code requires that the Governing Body of a Type A General Law municipality adopt a resolution determining the time and place of its regular meetings; and,

WHEREAS, subsequent to the adoption of Resolution #1571 on July 18, 2024, the City Council has decided it would be advantageous to meet at the Whiteside Center for the Performing Arts, also known as the City Hall Auditorium, located at 301 N Washington Street while maintaining their regularly ordained meeting date of the third Thursday of each month beginning at 7pm;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEYMOUR, TEXAS HEREBY:
