PUBLIC NOTICE OF OPEN MEETING
SPECIAL CALLED/BUDGET WORKSHOP
A Special Called/ Budget Workshop will be held on Tuesday, September 1, 2020, at 6:00 p.m., at the Seymour City Hall, Seymour Auditorium, 301 N. Washington Street, Seymour Texas, 76380. All notices have been duly posted in accordance and conformance with the Government Code of the State of Texas, Section 551.002(c). The City of Seymour attempts to make its meetings accessible to all its citizens. If you have need of auxiliary aids, please notify the ADA Coordinator at 889-3148, as soon as possible in advance. The following agenda will be considered:
Call to Order, Roll Call and Pledge of Allegiance by Mayor Jon Hrncirik.
Regular meeting closes and Public Hearing will begin
1. The City of Seymour will conduct a Public Hearing regarding the proposed tax rate of 0.50141/ $100.
Close Public Hearing and resume Regular meeting.
2. Discuss, consider, and take action to approve Resolution No. 1497, allowing City Administrator Steve Biedermann to move forward with HOME GRANT Application for location at 200 W. McLain Street.
3. Conduct a third draft of the City of Seymour Budget Fiscal Year 2020-2021,
as proposed by City Staff. City Council may direct modifications to proposed
budget document. Council may or may not, modify the following:
Seymour Police and Chamber of Commerce budgets. Also, the following
departments will present their 2020-2021 Fiscal Year Budgets:
Electric Department, Reverse Osmosis Department, Street Department and
I, the undersigned authority, do hereby certify the above notice of the meeting of the City Council of the City of Seymour, Texas is a true and correct copy of the said notice that I posted on the official posting place(s) at Seymour City Hall, 301 North Washington Street, Seymour, Texas, a place of convenience and readily accessible to the general public at all times, and said notice posted, Friday, August 28, 2020 at 11:45 a.m., at least 72 hours preceding the meeting time.
