SPECIAL CALLED BUDGET WORKSHOP
MEETING MINUTES, SEPTEMBER 6, 2018
A Special Called Budget Workshop meeting was held on Thursday, September 6, 2018 at 6:00 P.M. at City Hall, 2ND floor, Conference Room, 301 N. Washington Street, Seymour, Texas 76380.
Call to Order, Roll Call and Pledge of Allegiance was led by MPT Jon Hrncirik at 6:00 p.m.
Council present: Mayor Pro-Tem Jon Hrncirik, Les Hons, Paula K. Vaden, Mary K. Fair and Monty Glass.
City Staff present: City Administrator Steve Biedermann, City Secretary Conchita Torrez, Finance Director Mary Griffin, Street Supervisor Adam Sturgeon and Water/Sewer Supervisor Robert Torrez.
Guest: Mike Cuba
- City Council Members will discuss and consider the fourth draft of the budget for Fiscal Year 2018-2019, as proposed by Mayor Pro-Tem and City Staff. City Council may direct modifications to proposed budget document.
Due to budget modifications being made for the Fiscal Year 2018-2019, these two
department supervisors were asked by City Council to present their proposals at this council
meeting. Street Department Supervisor was there to present a price for a Tub Grinder for the
City of Seymour. He was directed to continue getting information and possibly present it to
City Council at a later date.
Water/Sewer Supervisor was there to present his information along with Mike Cuba with
National Leasing regarding a Skid Steer for the water and sewer department. After
reviewing the information received, regarding a Lease/Purchase Quote from National
Leasing, and City Council directed Mr. Torrez to choose his best option. A 5 year lease was
chosen for a Case Skid Steer.
- Adjournment made by Councilmember Les Hons, second by Councilmember Monty Glass, to adjourn at 7:40 p.m. Motion passed unanimously.
