AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEYMOUR, TEXAS, AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE CHIEF OF POLICE TO CAUSE THE PLACEMENT OF TWO SOLAR LED YELLOW FLASHING BEACON LIGHTS, ON NEVADA AND CEDAR STREET, AND MORRIS AND CEDAR STREET CONTROLLING TRAFFIC GOING NORTH AND SOUTH BOUND, AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that the health and safety of the citizens of
the City of Seymour requires the flashing beacon lights on Nevada and Cedar Street,
and on Morris and Cedar Street, controlling traffic going North and South bound, and;
WHEREAS, the lights are warranted by the Texas Manual on Uniform Traffic Control
Devices.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEYMOUR, TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That the Chief of Police is hereby authorized and directed on behalf of the City
Council to designate, install and maintain these new beacon lights, on Nevada and Cedar Street and Morris and Cedar Street, controlling traffic north and south bound.
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall become effective at the completion of publication as provided by law.
SECTION 3. The City Secretary shall, after passage of this ordinance, publish the caption of this ordinance as required by law.
