Starting Saturday, April 13, 2019 and continuing through Sunday, April 21,
2019, the City of Seymour will once again be picking up junk and rubbish to be
removed for those who do not have the means of taking this waste to the City
Transfer Station.
The Street Department will allow citizens to place their items in the alleyway. Monday, April 22, 2019, Street Supervisor Shawn Sanchez and his crew will
only go around once, so be sure and have it out for them to pick up.
Remember that you must have a tarp on your pickup truck to keep the trash
from blowing out of the back, if you choose to dispose of your trash at the
Transfer Station; this is State Law. The Transfer Station will refuse any one
arriving with a pickup truck full of trash that is not secured with a tarp. The
Transfer Station will be open Saturday from 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., and from
10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m., during the week. Disposal will be FREE for city
residents. “Clean-Up Week” is not for hazardous materials or tires, or
Commercial Businesses, if you are in doubt, please call the City and we will
check with KWS about disposal of questionable items.
