Spring Clean Up Week April 5th-13th

ANNUAL “SPRING” CITY WIDE CLEAN-UP WEEK

Starting Saturday, April 5, 2014and continuing through Sunday, April 13,

2014,  the City of Seymour will once again be picking up junk and rubbish to be

removed for those who do not have the means of taking this waste to the City

Transfer Station.

The Street Department will allow citizens to place their items in the alleyway the

week of April 5th through the 13th.  Actual pickup will begin on Monday, April

14th.  Street Supervisor Adam Sturgeon and his crew will only go around once,

so be sure and have it out for them to pick up.

Remember that you must have a tarp on your pickup truck to keep the trash

from blowing out of the back, if you choose to dispose of your trash at the

Transfer Station; this is State Law.   The Transfer Station will refuse any one

arriving with a pickup truck full of trash that is not secured with a tarp. The

Transfer Station will be open Saturday from 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., and from

10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m., during the week. Disposal will be FREE for city

residents. “Clean-Up Week” is not for hazardous materials or tires, or

Commercial Businesses, if you are in doubt, please call the City and we will

check with KWS about disposal of questionable items.
